New Members Welcome!

Membership Our Chapters are private, voluntary groups that welcome moms, their children and often their families to participate in a diverse range of activities from large-scale events at public locations to intimate gatherings in members' homes. Chapters are organized into geographical clusters of towns. We strive to provide social groups that are fun, supportive and comfortable for all members.

• Membership fees are $25 per year for all Chapters, and are collected annually based upon a member's join date.
• Check us out! Join a chapter risk free. Membership fees are not due until 30 days after joining.
• No mother will be denied membership based upon financial hardship. Please contact us at wmp@workingmomsplaygroup.org to request more information regarding a fee waiver.
• Upon joining, you can set your membership to automatically renew on the anniversary of your join date or you may select to be notified when your renewal is due.
• We are a non-profit organization. All money collected is used exclusively to support our organization, fund programs, and community outreach projects.

Be Involved  We are NOT a virtual group. We feel the best way to truly make connections is to meet face to face. Member attendance at events is expected. By joining our group you are making a commitment to yourself, your children, and our members to attend events.

Member Safety The Board of Directors review memberships on an annual basis, or more frequently as needed. Because we are a group of moms and young children, we are vigilant about member safety and comfort to the extent we can control. We include both physical and emotional safety in these assessments. We hold ourselves, and our members, to a high standard of conduct, and maintain a low threshold for difficult behaviors.

Any behaviors deemed unsafe or otherwise causing members or their children discomfort or concern will trigger revocation of membership privileges. Additionally, and while this is by no means an exhaustive list, specific behaviors that have historically been problematic include: frequent last minute cancellations, netiquette violations, problematic communication (not returning emails or other correspondence from members or leadership) and interpersonal struggles affecting the group.

We will make every effort to communicate directly with members when such issues arise, but any member whose behaviors are deemed problematic, destructive to the group or otherwise of concern may lose their membership privileges at the discretion of the Directors.
