Our History
January 17, 2007 The Working Moms Playgroup was established as an informal group by a working mom living in Walpole MA who could not find local events to fit around her full time working schedule. Initially the WMPlaygroup utilized Meetup.com to host their calendar of events and communications. Within 5 years the WMPlaygroup grew to include almost 200 members from Norwood, Walpole Sharon and the surrounding communities.
September 18, 2014 The Working Moms Playgroup, Inc was registered as a nonprofit business with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Today Over 10 years later we have grown! Our membership is broken down into chapters and spans dozens of communities. Each chapter continues to organize playgroups and activities scheduled during evening and weekend hours creating convenient opportunities for working moms to get together and offer one anther support and friendship.
Chapters We believe it is important for all mothers to foster relationships with fellow moms residing within their close community therefore, the Working Moms Playgroup membership is divided into Chapters. Mothers who live outside an established chapter's geographical area will be offered assistance to develop a chapter within her local area.
Communications All chapters of the Working Moms Playgroup, Inc. utilize this website, private Facebook groups and personal email to communicate with Members as well as for Members to communicate with one another.
Get Involved This is a face-to-face group that utilizes technology to manage our calendar and communications. Member attendance at events is expected and truly is the best way to connect and build supportive, long term relationships. By joining our group you are making a commitment to yourself, your children, and our members to attend events.
